Golf Course Maintenance
The scheduled deep drill Aerification for Monday, September 9th, will go on as planned with a slight revision in timing. Southeast Turf Maintenance will be getting in early Sunday evening and I would like to get an early start on a few greens which will have us in a position to open the front 9 by noon on Monday if everything works accordingly. Therefore, the last available tee time to go off of number 1 will be at 4:00 PM. The deep drill process is a very swift and easy process. The course should be completely open and playable by Tuesday morning. Any holes should be barely visible by the weekend.
As we all know, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature and all of this is weather permitting and could be ever-changing from a timing perspective. You may see us running overhead irrigation during play hours on Monday simply because it will be hot. Our golf course must go through this process to get a good push in the root system before the winter months. The removal of old and introduction of new materials is one of the most important stages of preparing our greens for the growing season. The crew and I thank you for your patience and ongoing support.
